Most of the elevation actuator assemblies that I see are made with the assembly of a actuator instead of the adjustment screw. The useful stroke is very small so the number of pulses too.
When the order to move is sent to the actuator there is a "mechanical" reaction time of a few tens of milliseconds, at the same time my program detects the absence of pulse returns during the movements of the actuator, I fixed the delay before alarm at 500ms.
In the case of the elevation actuator which starts slowly by pushing the parabola it may be insufficient, I can lengthen it but it will be a little more annoying when the motor comes to a stop.
Of course, we always come back to the question of the design of the mount, mainly for elevation, or the distance between the fixing point and the pivot axis are too close to have good precision.
On the mount I designed I have 450mm of travel in azimuth and elevation.

procedure for Aal41
eeprom data is calculated for Aal41!
put the udo01a.bin program in the posi with prog-usb8.exe (firmware)
put the data data-udo3.bin in the eeprom with the USB/jack cable and dial8b.exe (data).
go to the limits menu choose "goto origin azimuth", the motor must start in the east.
the starting value is 200 by default (it can be changed with dial8b2)
repeat the same manipulation with elevation .
then ask for sat "84" eutelsat 13°east and check the offset to report for the starting values.

not compatible with a USBASP.

I traded in my very noisy azimuth motor for one offered by FEMI.
There are no more major noises.
The speed is different, the new engine runs a little slower!
When I reduce the speed when approaching the destination it turns really very slowly and I stop at just the right value!!
This is a good thing, but will this be the case with other EPR103 owners?
I decided to count only the high state of the motor pulses (as on EPS103) and we obtain 100 pulses per degree.
The value displayed corresponds to the angle multiplied by 100 from the EAST origin:
- due south 9000 = 90.00°
- due west 18000 = 180.00°
-full east = 0
The passage from east to west is done in less than a minute.
When detecting the limits, I go at full speed until I detect the contact of the switch then I go back in reverse at very low speed to detect the release of the same switch.
This procedure is very reliable because after many attempts a value is obtained which only varies by 2 pulses.
The seed value can be set manually to best match its location.
The correspondence between the displayed index and the targeted position depends on its longitude and latitude, but this value is obtained on WEB sites.

Das ist eine gute Sache, aber wird dies auch bei anderen EPR103-Besitzern der Fall sein?
Ich habe mich entschieden, nur den hohen Zustand der Motorimpulse zu zählen (wie bei EPS103), und wir erhalten 100 Impulse pro Grad.
Der angezeigte Wert entspricht dem mit 100 multiplizierten Winkel vom OST-Ursprung:
- genau nach Süden 9000 = 90,00°
- genau nach Westen 18000 = 180,00°
-voller Osten = 0
Die Passage von Ost nach West ist in weniger als einer Minute erledigt.
Wenn ich die Grenzen erkenne, fahre ich mit voller Geschwindigkeit, bis ich den Kontakt des Schalters erkenne, dann fahre ich mit sehr niedriger Geschwindigkeit rückwärts, um das Loslassen desselben Schalters zu erkennen.
Dieses Verfahren ist sehr zuverlässig, da nach vielen Versuchen ein Wert erhalten wird, der sich nur um 2 Impulse ändert.
Der Seed-Wert kann manuell so eingestellt werden, dass er am besten zu seinem Standort passt.
Die Entsprechung zwischen dem angezeigten Index und der anvisierten Position hängt von ihrem Längen- und Breitengrad ab, aber dieser Wert wird auf WEB-Sites erhalten.

Einige Neuigkeiten meiner Softwareentwicklungen für die EGIS-Engine:
- Durch die Optimierung der Routinen der Programme habe ich das EGIS mit einem 89s52 (alt) geschafft, aber ich werde weiterhin das AT89LP51 (neuer und 12-mal schneller) bereitstellen.
-Ich habe eine Gefahr entdeckt, die dazu führte, dass ein paar Impulse verloren gingen und die bei einer klassischen Klinke keine Auswirkung hatte: Die klassische Klinke hat alle 15 bis 25ms einen Impuls, die EGIS alle 800nS.
- Bei einer Verzögerung von 5° vor dem Ziel stoppt der Motor bei +-1 Impulsen von der Ankunft! (es gibt 100 Impulse pro Grad oder 1 Hundertstel Grad Fehler!!).
- Ich möchte mich noch einmal bei FEMI bedanken, der einen EGIS-Motor in seiner Garage hatte und ihn mir geschenkt hat.

after a period of mourning I went back to working on the EGIS engine. I bought a second-hand EGIS set from TRUST, unfortunately the azimuth motor was faulty, there is a circlip inside which had moved, which caused a hell of a noise, and which destroyed the printed circuit of the encoder. the components of the sensor not being found, I replaced by a modern sensor.
it is working now !!
I built an additional positioner in EGIS mode, and I was able to do my first tests, there are still several faults to correct, but that doesn't cause me any problems.
I could reliably verify my program.

Ich habe ein gebrauchtes EGIS-Set von TRUST gekauft, leider war der Azimutmotor defekt, da war ein Sicherungsring drin der sich bewegt hat, was einen höllischen Lärm verursacht hat, und der die gedruckte Schaltung des Encoders zerstört hat.
Da die Komponenten des Sensors nicht gefunden wurden, habe ich sie durch einen modernen Sensor ersetzt.

The problem is that the impulses no longer reach the positioner, hence the actuator pb messages.
-1 by disconnecting the two rear connectors you should have 24V on terminals 1-2 4-5
-2 the fuse in the motor may have blown F3
Das Problem ist, dass die Impulse nicht mehr am Stellungsregler ankommen, daher die Meldung pb actuator.
-1 Wenn Sie die beiden hinteren Stecker abziehen, sollten Sie 24V auf den Klemmen 1-2 4-5 haben.
-2 die Sicherung im Motor könnte durchgebrannt sein F3
